Well,  retaining length is what you should really be focusing on (if growth is your hair goal), as I have pointed out tips to do so in Hair Did Not Grow In 2014? Better yet, are you doing the following things?

  • no regular moisturizing and sealing
  • double and over processing with chemicals
  • handling hair very rough and with no patience
  • excessively using heat appliances
  • braids and twists are way too tight
  • not using a satin/silk scarf or bonnet to bed
  • you are not eating healthy


If so, not only are you doing unhealthy hair practices, but there would be no way that you would be able to retain your length that you have grown if you continue on like this.

This style is way better than my flat twist styles I would keep for a week and redo each week. But mini twists can be retained for 3-6 weeks, which is awesome...since it takes about 2-6 hours to do (depending on the size and length of the hair).


HOWEVER!!! This style can help retain the length grown and can also help you to not manipulate your hair daily or weekly. You can see your length or wear them shrunken and they give great versatility in styling. You will also be able to moisturize and seal effectively and massage your scalp when needed. They are easy to wash (with the right methods) and deep condition. Mini twists are just that awesome!!! All you need to do is to make sure that your twists are moisturize and seal to perfection at least 4xs a week.
 
If you do this style for at least 3 months consecutively (with at least 2 days of rest between each mini twists set) you will definitely see a difference in length and health. I surely have!

My length is almost APL, but I love my shrinkage with the mini twists to my neck (I manipulated them that way...I don't like my hair swaying on my shoulders).
