Doing Her Hair Series! | Crochet Senegalese Ponytail With Janet Collection Noir Tantalizing Twist Braid

Crochet Senegalese Ponytail With Janet Collection Noir Tantalizing Twist Braid
This style will be perfect for my sister, Jeanette. She's a pre-teen with a "I'm grown" attitude, but very sweet like gummy bears. So this high-ponytail style would be great for her to swing around, but be very lady-like at the same time!

Hair, Color, And Packs

From the local beauty supply store, I decided to get:
Brand: Janet Collection Noir
Type: Tantalizing Twist Braid
Color: 4
Price: $7.99/pack (purchased 2 packs)

Prepping The Hair

It is very important to prep your hair for long-term styling effectively and the correct way. I started by sectioning her hair in 3 sections (left, right, and middle) The left and the right sides will be cornrowed (flat braided) horizontally that looks like a Mohawk, but will create the high-ponytail look.

Crochet Braids Process

Before I crocheted the Senegalese twists in, I boiled each of the packs to make sure that the twists are sleek and completely sealed. Once the hair was cooled and dry, I crocheted the twists into the middle of the cornrows. 2 packs were enough to create a full ponytail.
