How To | Milk Maid/Halo Crown/Crown Twist On Fine, Natural Hair

Amma Mama: Crown Twist On Blow Dried Natural Hair

Celie Twists!

This style is definitely one between laid back and professional. I don't think Miss Celie knew what she was doing for the natural hair community!!

I will definitely say that the Milk Maid/Crown Twist/Halo Crown/Celie Twists are my absolutely favorite style. This style is one of the easiest protective styles for me and it only takes about 5 minutes to do. Want to try this style!

Check it out!!

Products:

OYIN Nourishing Herbal Leave-in Hair Tonic Juices and Berries
Curls Blueberry Bliss Twist-N-Shout Cream
Castor Oil
CURLS Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Paste

How To:

Start off with dry, stretched hair (from an old twist out, African Threading, Bands N Twists) and part your hair down the middle.

With the first section add your products lightly. Begin to flat twist snuggly and continue to twist until there is no more hair to flat twist. Continue to two strand twist that section until you get to the ends. Be sure to add some oil and/or cream to your ends.

Do the other side in this same fashion. Use two (or more) bobby pins to tuck the twists into each other and secure them in the back.

Optional: add your control paste or edge tamer for your hairline. Shape them how you would like it.

That's it!!

I absolutely love this style in order to keep my ends protected, it will last for a few days before redoing, it doesn't take a long time to do, and this style can be dressed up or down.

Even though this style is a naturalista's favorite, it can absolutely be done on relaxed, textured, etc. hair with little effort.
