How To | Wash N Go With CURLS Blueberry Bliss Jelly

I have been itching to get on the wash n go bandwagon, since the summer has been hot and popping for real! So here I go again trying this style - since my last H.A.M wash n go...

Products:

Wash N Go With CURLS Blueberry Bliss Jelly

Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Gel

The Process:

I did this style on freshly washed and very wet hair. I added my mist first for moisture, then added Aloe Vera Gel (AVG) to cool my cuticles. Really I could have only used the AVG for moisture, but I love the smell of the Juices and Berries mist. The two products together created a very soft touch for my hair.

I added the CURLS jelly by smoothing the product in first, then I raked it through for full coverage (starting with the bottom of my hair). I DID NOT shingle my hair this time. I just added the product through my hair and lots more on my crown.

I allowed my hair to air dry during the day. I DID NOT touch my hair AT ALL until fully dry!!

My Thoughts On My Style:

I absolutely love the style and how the products worked very well to bring this style together! All the products definitely agreed with each other and my hair felt so moisturized, even hours after drying.

The only issue was trying to figure out how to wrap my hair for the night. Since my shrinkage is very, very short, I had to think of something that would not mat my hair up nor lose my style. So I decided to stretch my hair.

How To Save Wash N Go (Night Routine):

I stretched my hair in 5 sections with two bands for each section, then moisturized my hair with juices and berries to help stretch. I used a satin hair tie at the root of my hair and in the middle on the large section. I did this to each section, then put a big bonnet on my hair for the night.

In the morning, my hair was definitely stretched, but had little coily action going on. So I added more mist and AVG to reactivate the styler. This method regained the coils and I used bobby pins to style my hair.

After a few days, my hair shrunk up into an Afro...but my hair was soooo soft!

Let me know how you save your short wash n go! I need suggestions for my own routine.
