I absolutely love her artwork and creativity!!!

*THIS IS A LONG ENTRY*

I decided to let you experience one of the things I do in my Hair Diary! Although I record my triumphs, failures, double failures, and awesome product reviews, I also do something called the "Quarterly Natural Hair Advancement (QNHA)." This entry reflects on the last 3 months comparing with the previous QNHA while giving a summary in one whole journal entry.

There are a lot of comparisons with lengths, regimens, goals, habits, and hair styles. I also include pictures to show that I have either improved or that I need to improve in a specific area. I started this back in June 2013 and I do the QNHA at the end of the months: March, June, September, and December. Yes, I am very intricate with my Hair Diary...but this helps me perfect my current regimen, helps me with future styling options, reminds me of my hair goals, and just fun to do!!

GOALS MET FROM JUNE

Quarterly Natural Hair Advancement | Comparing June And September 2016, my short term goals for next 3 months were: henna gloss treatment, rice water rinse/weekly, trim hair when needed, use Aloe Vera Juice/Gel and Hair And Body Oil regularly. I have succeeded all of my short-term goals!

PERSONAL GOALS

My short term goals for next 3 months: NO TOOLS, rice water rinse/ weekly, JBCO 3-5 times/weekly, use Aloe Vera Juice/Gel and Hair And Body Oil regularly (Wash Regimen), and retain 1.5 inch.
-
My mid-term goals for July 2017: 3 henna treatments, have at least 1-3 YouTube Videos.
-
My yearly goals for December 2017: maintain the same regimen and products usage, 5/2 weekly protective styles, attend 3-6 natural hair meetups/events/shows, and reach BSL (stretched)
-
My ultimate goal: to reach waist length and HUGE volume by December 2018!

I think I am on the right track, but I've noticed a few things when I was reading my hair diary. The amount of length I would retain has decreased about 1 inch during the 3 month span, because of the styling options I have chosen recently. Here are the numbers:

QNHAS LENGTH CHECKS

March 2016: 1.1 inch, 0.35in/month, mainly out styles

June 2016: 1.4 inch, 0.45in/month, protective styles and out styles
September 2016: 1.2 inch, 0.4in/month
December 2016: 1.1 inch, .35in/month
-
Total Length Retained For The Year: 4.8 inches
Total AVG Length Grown Monthly: 1.55 inches

*Lengths are based on length retain, even though I trimmed and cut my hair through Year 2016*

Fine Natural Hair Growth In A Year

There aint nothing like stats! That's why I keep my hair diary. Although it's possible to retain length wearing twist outs and rollers set, my hair is just not that type. I do love long-term protective styles and have done the "5 days protective style, 2 days outs," which I really liked very well. Long-term protective styles ARE NOT for my hair type.
