Product Review: Freetress Water Wave Crochet Braids

Freetress Water Wave Product Review
I have received soooo many questions about my crochet braids. It's simple really...but I thought I go ahead and jot down the FAQs I have been getting about my hair and how to care for my hair during this long term:

"How long will you keep your hair in?"
For my crochet braids, I will keep at least 3 weeks and not over 4 weeks.

"How do you think your edges will be after this style?"
I did not braid my perimeter tight, there are no crocheted braids on my perimeter, and I massage Castor oil on my edges 4xs a week. I think my edges will be just fine.

"What is the best hair to use?"
But I've heard that FreeTress (what I'm wearing now) Outre, Kanekelon, Sensationnel, and Model Model are pretty good and I thought they all looked good. I'm sure Marley is great, I just did not have a great experience my first time around.

"How do you make your hair look real? How you get that natural part?"
I checked out Tastepink YouTube Channel and she cleared that confusion. It's better if you check her page out...I cannot explain it in words...

Crochet Braids Maintenance

"How do you upkeep your hair and the faux hair?
For my natural hair I massage my edges 4xs a week with Castor oil from an applicator bottle on my braiding pattern 3xs a week. For my Water Wave, I use Smooth N Shine Olive and Teatree Revivoil Wrap-Set Mousse (from Wal-Mart 2.59) every other day for that extra bounce and shine.

"How does your hair behave? Does it tangle and mat?"
My hair does not tangle nor mat to the point of frustration...however! I wear earrings, necklaces, clothes with button, and anything else that have protruding items and my hair gets caught on EVERYTHING. Another thing is that as the days pass as I wear this hair, it does get frizzy BUT not ugly-nasty frizzy. I feel it looks more natural that way instead of being uniformed in its spirally ways.

"Do you wash your hair? How do you cleanse your scalp?"
I will not wash my hair until the style is taken out. I don't use too much of a product that will cause my scalp to have product buildup.

"What is the best night routine?"
I find that the best night routine for long hair is to use a dreadlock bonnet/cap. I purchased this from DJ Beauty Supply for 4.99, but I'm sure you can get the bonnet/cap at any store. In the morning you take off and just "shake and go."

"Why didn't you use human hair?"
I am only keeping this style for 3 or 4 weeks. That would have been a waste of money.

Natural hair says: now that I have gotten a taste of crochet braiding, I think I will continue to do this throughout the fall and winter seasons. Try it!
