My Hair Diary | The Wash N Go Is Not For Me

Wash N Go For Fine, Natural Hair

Grrr! I'm just gonna love this style at a distance. I just can't seem to achieve it!

No matter what I use, how I try the style, or what processes I look up for this style, my hair just does not like the Wash 'N Go. I looked up so many helpful tutorials that I thought would work...but no! Nada! Zilch! Hakuna! Aucun! Nicht! Nie! Nope! Nil!! NOTHING!!!...I need a minute

*resume* Okay, I'm back. So over the weekend, I decided to try the Anthony Dickey Method for the wash 'n go, because it made perfect sense to use the styling aid in the shower. So I thought I give it a go. I am use Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie. Here is the process:

Cleansing - Take a liberal amount of your shampoo or cleansing cream and apply to your hair. Massage your scalp and detangle your hair gently while moving the shed hairs. Rinse the shampoo/cleansing cream out.

Conditioning - Take a liberal amount of conditioner and apply to your hair. Make sure you are very liberal with the conditioner. Also, do not use a comb, because it will disturb the curl pattern of your tresses. Instead, use your fingers to detangle your hair. Rinse the conditioner out.

Styling - Take your leave-in or styling cream and apply on your sopping wet hair. This is the key to locking in your curl pattern before drying completely.

In short? Nope it didn't work...Maybe I'll try it again in the future...

Check out my Successful Wash n Go regimen!

Natural hair says:  If you cannot get your wash 'n go to work out for you, give the Anthony Dickey Method a shot and see if this works for you.
