Package Directions:

Squeeze 1/2 ounce into palm. Using fingertips, work evenly through hair and into scalp. For maximum penetration, cover hair with warm towel, or plastic cap, for two minutes. For extreme cases, leave on for 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Dry and style as usual.

My Experience:

I use ApH for my protein treatment, which I would do twice a month. I shampoo my hair first, then I would apply a nice amount of ApH to each section (hair clipped in 5 sections), making sure I love on my ends too. After all my hair is lightly-saturated with ApH, I put a plastic cap on my hair and keep this on for 2 minutes exactly. Then I would thoroughly wash the treatment out and proceed with my deep conditioning treatment.

My Own Thoughts:

I've been using ApH for almost 2 years now, so of course I love it! I believe this is the best protein treatment for me (other than using green tea). I will say that once I started using ApH, I have seen less shedding and the feel of my hair is much stronger.

This product is so strong that it makes my hair really tough instead of what the bottle said to "also make my hair soft." I did not get so much of the softness as I did the strong part of it. But I love deep conditioning my hair anyways, so that's not much of an issue for me.

I surely recommend this product for anyone who wants to do a protein treatment, but needs something light and not overbearing.

This product is not a staple, but I would surely use this again in the future.

Natural hair says: Try this product if you are looking for a light protein treatment. If you don't have a protein treatment or have not done one, I suggest trying one out for yourself. You will be amazed at the results of the protein treatment.
