I finally reached the end of my fall castor oil challenge! I deserve a pat on that back =D Yes, done with the challenge and so excited about my results!
This challenge is a spin off from KinkyCurlyCoilyMe where Jenell Stewart made this challenge a mainstream experiment for those who want their hair to grow, be healthier, get thicker, and more manageable, while recording our own individual journeys on the KCCM page.
The Challenge
Timeframe: September 2014 to December 2014
Types: Jamaican Black Castor Oil
How: massage scalp and edges 4/wk, use in deep conditioner (Shea Moisture Masque), and use for ends

My Journey
My motivation was to keep a consistent regimen. During this specific experience I realized that it's really simple to take care of my hair. I did a lot of massaging of my scalp and my edges for at least 10 minutes 4xs a week, which felt really good I might add. If you keep up with that, then you will see a great difference in your hair. It just takes patience and time.

I experience 1 1/4 inch of growth! I don't have as many split ends as I would have, especially when I take out my long-term protective style. My hair looks and feels healthier and thicker!
Upcoming Season and Hopes
I am going to continue with the Castor Oil Challenge, but on my own terms and not on the KCCM page. I will continue to document my journey and will post a Winter Castor Oil Challenge update for January 1st to April 1st.
