Healthy Hair Ingredient | DIY Flaxseed Gel Mist

"You keep talking about this 'flaxseed gel mist'...what the heck is it?!?!"

Well, that surely is my fault...I know I keep talking about the FSG mist and I forgot to even put the recipe up. But I assure you that it is so easy to make:

Healthy Hair Ingredient | DIY Flaxseed Gel Mist

You will need:
Spray bottle
3:1 Water to Aloe Vera Juice (close hair cuticle, enhance shine and volume)
1 tbsp. Fresh Flaxseed gel (all-day moisture, conditions, no crunch or stiffness)
5 drops Vegetable glycerin (humectant - draws moisture from the atmosphere)
3 drops Rosehip seed oil (moisturizes and conditions, nourishes scalp, encourage hair growth)
Paper label
Pen or pencil

Make sure that the spray bottle is completely clean and sterilized
Pour the FSG in the bottle first, then add the vegetable glycerin
Pour in the water/aloe vera juice mix
Add the Rosehip seed oil in last
Once all your ingredients are added, put the spray nozzle on top
When the nozzle is secure, vigorously shake your bottle to mix the ingredients together
Write your ingredients and the date down on the paper label

Now it's ready to use!

If your mix is a bit thick or it sprays a straight line and not a mist, add a bit more water to the mix to make it a mist. This mixture lasts for a good 2 or 3 weeks.

I really do like Rosehip Seed Oil, purchased from Vitamin Shoppe. I have been using it for a few months now and I already see a positive difference in my hair. However, it doesn't smell like roses...it smells like MAYONAISE if you ask me. Yea...put the applicator up to your nose and you will get a 'yuck' face.

But since I am mixing the mist with my pre-made FSG, the essential oils in the flaxseed gel (lavender and peppermint) really brings the FSG mist to smelling wonderful. So no need to be put off my this essential oil.

And there you have it!

This mist is so simple to make and I really do like the benefits as well. Since I have my Senegalese twists now, this is the mist I use along with the Oyin Juices and Berries mist. I also use this as a refresher for my own NATURAL hair, as well. You don't have to use this exact moisturizing mist. Doctor you own up!

What do you think about this FSG mist? Would you try it?

Natural hair says: it is always best to moisturize your hair daily, in the morning and before you go to bed. Instead of using a cream, use a moisturizing mist to get the ample moisture you need.
