My Experience:
I did this style on freshly washed and damp hair. With 4 sections for easier manipulation, I detangled each section with my wide tooth comb. I sectioned a small section from a big section and added a bit of Naturalista Cosmetics Juicy Leave-In (also from CurlKit) for moisture from root to tips. Then I added a bit of curl definer to that small section and began to roll the flexi rod UPWARDS towards the scalp, starting from the ends. I continued to do this all over my head and allowed to dry overnight. Once dry, I took my hair out of the flexi rods and separated the curls ONLY twice for a fuller set.
My Own Thoughts:
I received this product with my December 2014 CurlKit, which I was really excited to try for my roller sets. I really liked how my hair turned out for Christmas. This flexi rod set was DA BOMB! The Curl Definer left a nice hold with the Naturalista Juicy Leave-In, which kept my hair so soft. My hair was so shiny and moisturize...I really liked how my hair felt.
Now the Curl Definer does smell like hotel soap, which did not sit well with me as I wore the style for a few days. It was also really sticky to work with as well, which was a bit uncomfortable when working with the flexi rods. It did get a bit frustrating when rolling up my hair. I was getting sticky residue on my vanity, clothes, hands, my baby (he wanted to be held lol), and anything else I touched.

Flexi Rod Set With Curls-R-Us Curl Definer Product Review |
Overall, Curl Definer is a MEH product. I would suggest using this on freshly washed and damp hair with a leave-in moisturizer or water before using this product. I wouldn't use this on dry, blown out hair since the product is just too sticky. The hair definitely needs to be wet when setting the hair with this product.
This product is great for wet sets...but I would not purchase this product.
Have you tried Curl Definer? What did you think about it?
Natural hair says: when doing roller sets, it is best to use a setting lotion like a foam, mousse, or lotion for the best roller set possible.
