How To | Tuck And Roll Natural Hair

It's finally Spring Time!

I followed my own advice of how to get through the brisk winter that just seemed like it was never going to end. So I had to come up with a style that would work just for me, my lifestyle, be baby-proof, and did not take 56 products to achieve.

Tuck And Roll Natural Hair

I came across Ms. Vaughn's style for the fall and absolutely fell in love with the style! It is so chic, sophisticated, and simple. Seriously, I've been doing this same style since December (unless it was mini twists or crochet braids). I absolutely love this style! It is so simple and fast to do.

What you need:
Water Mist
Oil or Cream
Edge control (optional)
Bobby Pins

Tuck And Roll Natural Hair

  1. Separate top and bottom into two sections.
  2. Make sure your hair is fully detangled, moisturized, and sealed with your oil/cream.
  3. Take a quarter-square of the hair at each temple, of the bottom section, and two strand twist each section.
  4. Bring the two twists together in the middle of your head and pin in place.
  5. Now bring the bottom of your hair up and tuck the hair in the two twists (using them as a guide) and pin your hair for a nice roll. Use as many bobby pins as needed.
  6. Take the top section and create a pomp or hump and pin to secure.
  7. Use edge control to slick down baby hairs if you want.

Just that easy!

I am so glad that I came across this tutorial, because I had no idea what I was going to do for the wintertime. This style is simple and chic and you can keep for a week and redo.

Natural hair says: it's great to find that go-to or signature style that you can do 'perfectly' every time. You may come up with different variations, but you will always be able to do that certain style without a flaw.
