Natural Hair Tutorial | Twist Out With Dry, Stretched Hair Tutorial

Twist Out With Dry, Stretched Hair Tutorial
This is one style that I definitely got right!

The secret:

I used to do my twist outs on damp hair and would end up unsatisfied, because my hair would be "poofy" by the middle of the day and very tangled. But I learned during my HAIR WARS that the dry twist out set better, had more shine, had less tangles, flowed in the wind, had less shrinkage, and lasted for about 3-4 days without touch up.

Yes! Let's begin...

My Hair Diary
Have you been keeping up with your hair diary?! I know I have!

I update every two weeks on Thursdays with the following details: styles did, products used, what worked, what sucked, and my true feelings on "everything hair."

I keep my hair diary on an app, "My Wonderful Days," in which I can add pictures, videos, and of course my writing entry. I have kept this diary since July 2011.

I will share my entry that I posted on April 16, 2015:

6 Tips On How To Help Others To Go Natural

Going natural can be a great deal for many women, especially for those who have relaxed for years. This decision can bring out lots of emotions and questions, for example: how will she look with natural hair? Is it the right decision for her lifestyle?

She may be curious about how to start the natural hair journey and who will she turn to for advice, tips, and recommendations. If you meet a woman who is “considering going natural” it is important to stay neutral and just enlighten her about natural hair and it’s benefits.

Quarterly Natural Hair Advancement | Comparing December 2014 And March 2015

Natural Hair On A Kroger Kart

I decided to let you experience one of the things I do in my Hair Diary! Although I record my triumphs, failures, double failures, and awesome product reviews, I also do something called the "Quarterly Natural Hair Advancement (QNHA)." This entry reflects on the last 3 months comparing with the previous QNHA while giving a summary in one whole journal entry.

There are a lot of comparisons with lengths, regimens, goals, habits, and hair styles. I also include pictures to show that I have either improved or that I need to improve in a specific area. I started this back in June 2013 and I do the QNHA at the end of the months: March, June, September, and December. Yes, I am very intricate with my Hair Diary...but this helps me perfect my current regimen, helps me with future styling options, reminds me of my hair goals, and just fun to do!!!

Healthy Hair Ingredient | Henna With Hibiscus For Natural Hair

Henna With Hibiscus For Natural Hair

I absolutely love henna!

Since my hair is fine textured, I use a lot of protein-based products to keep my hair protected and on my head. Henna tends to acts as a protein treatment by binding to the keratin in the hair cuticle to strengthen it...and my hair definitely appreciates that. The last time I used henna was my first treatment and I felt that my hair will forever be changed! On my quest to find the perfect henna treatment for my hair, this time I am adding hibiscus to the mixture.

My Hair Diary | Girl, Don't Your Fight That Shrinkage!

Girl, Don't Your Fight That Shrinkage!
When your shrinkage is the bomb, so you
take a photo in the dressing room!!

You see it everywhere! Natural hair women asking others how to fight hair shrinkage and to elongate their hair with using heat. Some just don't like their hair shrinkage because it doesn't show their full growth. I almost had those same thoughts run through my mind...until my mane starting talking to me, by giving me a piece of her mind:

Natural Hair Tutorial | Wash And Go For Fine, Natural Hair

Wash And Go Tutorial
Ohhhh yea! She did DA Wash N Go!!!!

I'm so excited that I finally pulled this style off! I would always think that my hair just could not do the wash n go...but I'm excited to say that my hair came through for me. I was just using the wrong combination of products.

The Story:

I had my hair in a flat twist updo for about 2 weeks and decided that it was time to take it down. Instead of taking my entire style out, I only took out the top portion and left the flat twists in the back for a few more days until Wash day.

So the next morning, I co washed the top portion of my hair with Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle and allowed the warm water to run along my scalp and the hair (and get all those oils and excess product out). Once I was done, I thought I would try the wash n go just to do it...and I succeeded
