Screen Shots Credit | The Chic Natural: Wash Day Routine (Start To Finish) |
I always do my hair in a stretched state. However, doing the African Threading method can take forever, depending on the style I'm going for. So I saw the Wash Day Routine of The Chic Natural and saw that her stretching routine is brilliant!
Let's Get To It!
Start on freshly washed and conditioned hair. Bantu knot your hair in four sections (to keep hair detangled and stretched). Air-dry until hair is about 80% damp.
Start on the first section. Apply your leave-in and a light oil. Have your water bottom nearby just in case you need to add more moisture to your hair. Do not borrow hair!
Stretch the hair to the opposite side to either bobby pin or clamp the hair down.

Stretch the hair to the opposite side to either bobby pin or clamp the hair down.
When dry, dip your fingers in a light oil then take out your two strand twists. Then take the ponytail holders out gently.
Lightly run your fingers through your stretched hair to loosen. Now you are ready to style!
Natural hair says: if you are looking for a heatless way to stretch your hair or get the blow out look, try Bands N Twists! It's easy and definitely something to try.
