Product Review: Eco Styler Moroccan Argan Oil Styling Gel

I ran out of my Eco Styler Olive Oil Styling Gel the other day and decided to purchase a new gel from the same ECO family. I have used argan oil products with Cream of Nature products (which I didn't like), so I was hoping that this gel would work out. For starters, I got the smallest pack just to try it out...

My Thoughts:

I'm glad I purchased the smaller container of Argan gel, because I didn't like this one as much as the Olive gel. The ingredients are practically the same, but they don't work the same way with my hair. The Olive gel gives my hair great hold, whether I have my edges laid, a roller set, or an updo style. The Argan gel doesn't give my hair as much hold and leaves my edges poofy after an hour.

The Argan gel didn't give my hair any shine whatsoever! I thought Argan oil was to give shine, but I did not get any of that promise nor promotion. It mostly would give me product buildup and flakes once my hair dried from wet styling or after a day. This gel is also very crunchy and can be very drying to my hair. That is a huge drawback!!!

To help counteract the negatives of the gel, I use heavy moisturizers and oils to help with the gel cast and the dryness. It helps a bit, but I do have lots of buildup by the time I wash my hair a week later.

So I wasn't pleased with the Argan gel...
