Now that I have prepped the hair, it is time for the fun part!
Crochet Braids Process
What You Need:
PreTwisted Hair
Crochet Needle or Bobby Pin
I purchased 3 packs of Janet Collection Noir Tantalizing Twist Braid in the color 4 from my local beauty supply for $7.99/each. I do this process first so I can focus on the perimeter later.
You would do the normal crochet braiding process with a latch hook needle or a bobby pin (if the hook continues to get stuck in the hair). I did not knot them. 3 packs was enough to keep the style full, but not to pack my twists in too tightly so the style won't be so bulky.

Hair Clips
Synthetic Extension Hair
I purchased 2 packs of FreeTress Equal Synthetic Hair Braids Jamaican Twist Braid in the color 4 from the beauty supply for $4.99/each. I stretched the hair to have frayed ends (blunt ends aren't cute and it would be easier to seal in boiling water).
I started my own hair in two strand twists. I did this because 1). my hair would be easier to grasp, 2). my hair wouldn't stick out of the extension hair, and 3). it would be easier to take out during removal time. At the end, I sealed my ends in boiling water to come to a smooth finish.

This process took me about 3 hours to do perimeter and 1 hour to do the crochet braids.
