Natural Hair Inspiration | Millicent Swift: The Flat Twist Up Do Using Extensions/Braiding Hair

YouTube Channel: Naturally Michy

Yes! Time for a fun, but intricate style!! I saw this style and I knew that I just had to do it!

This will help me to stay on track on my healthy hair journey and to keep my goals. So here is my style for the week: The Flat Twist Up Do

Let's Get Started!

This style was inspired by Millicent Swift, which her YouTube channel is Naturally Michy The Flat Twist Up Do is so spicy for fun, but yet still classy for work. This look requires a bit more skill and time. However, once this style is done, you can FLEX on all the shorties for a bit!

I'm adding FreeTress Equal Jamaican Twist Braid to my natural hair to give more length to my bangs, to protect my own hair from the stress of the style, and to last longer. The hair comes preparted, which was easy to have the same size twists. I also cut the hair in half and combed the hair out to give a more plump look.

Regimen And Products

I did my wash regimen and African Threading (for heatless method for stretching my hair). I used my Shea Crème, Cantu Leave-In, and Eco Styler Argan to create this flawless look.

For the night, I wrapped my satin scarf around my head to keep my hair slick and ready to go for the morning.

This style is so easy to create cute updos like top bun, high ponytail, and cute hump. I decided on this "Janelle Monae" pompadour look.
