Product Review: Giovanni Direct Leave-In Weightless Moisture Conditioner

I absolutely love Shea Moisture Yucca Milk, but it has gotten too expensive for me to use. I have used Cantu Shea Butter Leave In for a few weeks, which has actually been an 'oldie-goodie' product to fall back on. However, I have heard great things about Giovanni and decided to give it a try!

My Experience:

Giovanni Direct Leave-In Weightless Moisture Conditioner Product Review

After I wash and deep condition my hair, I put 4-6 bantu knots in my hair (to air dry stretched). Once my hair is damp, I undo each bantu knot and add Giovanni LI the section. I start at the ends and work my way to about an inch to the roots, making sure to smooth Giovanni LI in my hair. Then I allow it to air dry.

I'm going for a faux Mohawk look for the day.

My Thoughts:

First all of all, let me just say that the price is so reasonable for me to purchase! I was so happy to find Giovanni LI at Whole Foods for only $7.99. This used to be at my local Target, but I guess the line decided to sell exclusely at Whole Foods and a few Target stores...but I digress...the low price is awesome!

Giovanni LI has so much slip without even trying to smooth into my hair. Also, a little does go along way for each section, so I don't need to drench my hair with Giovanni LI.

This product also gives great definition to my hair, without adding a styling product. Giovanni LI does bring out my coils and curls without manipulating too much.

And of course, Giovanni LI left my hair feeling moisturizing from the moment I put it in until the end of the day. And I was wearing a faux Mohawk!! If I wear my hair out, my coils are usually dry like 'hay' when I step out the door. Even then, my hair was still soft to the touch (I also used castor oil to seal the moisture).

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

Natural hair says: it is best to know your hair before purchasing products without researching it. Make sure you learn your hair, check the product label, and read on reviews to determine if the product is worth purchasing. Never purchase on a whim.
