Crochet Braids | How To Safely Remove Crochet Senegalese Twists

How To Safely Remove Crochet Senegalese Twists
I have had this style for a 4 weeks and now I am ready to play with my natural

So now the removal...this process took me only 45 minutes to remove!

1). Look at your crochet braids with that determination eyebrow (for good reasons), then put your hair in 4-6 sections to easily remove the twists.

2). DON'T GRAB THE SCISSORS!!!! I have a much better and money-saving way to remove them... Just slide them out! You can rinse in Apple Cider Vinegar  to cleanse them for using them again in the future.

3). Now your Senegalese twists are out! Spray your braiding pattern with a water, oil, and conditioner mixture to lubricate and moisturize your hair. This will also create lots of slip when taking your braiding foundation out.

4). USE YOUR FINGERS ONLY!!! Start from the back and make your way to the front of your head for easier removal. If you used sewing thread to keep your hair secure, make sure to be careful when cutting and removing the thread. Remember to BE GENTLE AND DELICATE! There will be TONS of shed hair.

5). Now that your braiding pattern is out, GO SHAWTY! IT'S YOUR TAKING-YOUR-CROCHET-BRAIDS-OUT-PARTAY!!!...whip your hair back and forth!

6). Detangle THOROUGHLY (I love to use coconut oil) and continue on with your wash day, with a protein treatment and deep conditioning.

Natural hair says: before you put in another long term style, keep your hair out for at least a week. This will help strengthen your strands back up and get the allotted moisture your hair needs.
