Product Review: Aphogee Style and Wrap Mousse

 I normally have great experiences with rollers sets because of my hair care and styling technique, no matter what styling product I would use. I have used Creme of Nature Foaming Mousse, Alikay Naturals Crème Brulee, Curls-R-Us Curl Definer, Eco Styler Olive Oil Styling Gel, and others to set my roller styles...but I still haven't found the right one yet. Let's see if this new product will be the one I've been looking for...

Package Instructions:

 Dispense in to palm and work through towel dried hair. Comb through hair for even distribution. Then follow instructions:

Heat styling: Style Hair as usual gently stretching hair with hot iron or brush, if using a blow dryer.

Wrapping: Part hair off-center, comb forward and around head smoothly and evenly. Dry with gentle heat and airflow. When dry comb gently in place, separate strands, then into desired hairstyle.

My Experience:

I washed and conditioned my hair to completely start fresh. I put my hair in 5 bantu knots to air dry in a stretched state until 90% damp. I sprayed ApH mist to add moisture and to detangle my hair. Then I used flaxseed gel and ApH mousse to small sections of my hair to roll my hair in perm rods. I used the corkscrew method for more bouncy and spirals in my curls. I continued to do this around my entire head and allowed to air dry until the morning.

My Thoughts:

First of all, I love the smell of the mousse! It's not as prominent as the other ApHogee products I have already used...but this scent stays in my hair the entire day!

I decided to use flaxseed gel with the ApH mousse to have more hold in my curls. The two products worked very well together. My hair was so moisturized and defined, with lots of shine as well! I will also say that I had less breakage and dryness with the ApH mousse than I have had with other products. I was very happy to find that my hair was still bouncy and shiny the next day.

I am very pleased with this product.
