Have you been keeping up with your hair diary?! I know I have!
I now update my hair diary every two weeks on Saturdays with the following details: washing regimen, styles done, issues and triumphs, thoughts, and my true feelings on "everything hair."
I keep my hair diary on an app, "My Wonderful Days," in which I can add pictures, videos, and of course my writing entry. I have kept this diary since July 2011.
I will share my entry that I posted on February 7, 2016:

Natural hair... I Found My Natural Curl Pattern

Fine Natural Hair Curl Pattern |
Won't you look at that!
I promise I don't have heat damage in my hair anymore (did a 2nd big Chop Sept 2015). But it looks to me that I definitely have a looser curl at my bang and a coily curl in the back...#textureshot
Now that my hair is free from heat damage, I have finally found my natural curl pattern. I would usually say that I have 4a fine, low dense, low porosity natural hair. But now? I suppose it's 3c/4a??? Well, I don't know and I don't care. All I know is that this hair is all mine!!

Sometimes, I get thrown off by my bangs when washing, detangling, styling, etc. I have even cut my bangs over and over and over again thinking that I have some sort of damage, but my bangs would grow back the same...looser curl than the rest of my hair. I have come to realize that looser curl is part of my natural curl pattern.
Doing wash n gos are not as bad as I made them out to be, by thinking that my hair doesn't look right...but hey! That's my natural curl pattern and that's how my hair is supposed to look. So I either wear my hair out or do a wash n go updo. Either way, my curl pattern is fierce! What have you written in your hair diary lately?![]() |
