Product Review: Shea Moisture Sacha Inchi Rescue + Repair Twist + Lock Gel

I have a different kinds of stylers that I love to use - Coconut + Hibiscus Smoothie, Aphogee Style and Wrap Mousse, and Curls Blueberry Bliss Control Jelly. However, I'm looking to narrow down my products even more and to find the best for my hair. Let's check this product out!

Sacha Inchi Oil is rich in nourishing Omega-3-6-9 and antioxidant Vitamins A& E that help revive damaged hair.

Quinoa contains essential amino acids that coat the hair shaft to protect naturally.

Rose of Jericho draws in and helps hold essential moisture.

My Experience:

I used the Sacha Gel, along with the Sacha Inchi Oil Smoothie , on freshly washed and stretched/dry hair for my twist out (African Threading) - more volume and length. I did 8 twists and allowed to air dry overnight, with my twists stretched even more with bobby pins across my head. In the morning, I took my twists out and separated it twist 3-5 times. I did use my pick to create more volume.

My Own Thoughts:

I went to the Ulta stores in my area and the products weren't out yet. I don't normally purchase products online, but I purchased this one immediately! I saw the How To | SheaMoisture's Sacha Inchi Oil Twist + Lock Gel on MahoganyCurls' channel and knew that I definitely wanted the product. I was also in rotation with a lot of stylers and really needed to tone down my products.

I absolutely love the Sacha Gel!! It does have a strong fresh (clean) and perfume scent (like the Sacha Smoothie), but I love it. The consistency is very similar to flaxseed gel, but not as goopy or sloppy. I like using this product with the Sacha Inchi Oil Smoothie for my twist outs, but it can be used as a styler for roller sets on its own for awesome results as well.
Shea Moisture Sacha Inchi Rescue + Repair Twist + Lock Gel Product Review

After tapping my fingers twice in the product, I added the Sacha Gel to the length and ends of my hair after using the Sacha Smoothie to seal in the moisture and to create more definition as well. If I refresh my twist out before washing my hair, I DO NOT use the Sacha Gel again. This will cause my hair to have a sticky and greasy feel. All I would need is water to activate the products and a bit more Sacha Smoothie to moisturize.

I will say that as the days went along and it was time for me to detangle for Wash Day, I noticed less and less breakage. There was also hardly any shed hair. I didn't have dry ends after 5 day hair and my hair was really soft each day, like FOR REAL - FOR REAL!!

Have you tried the Sachi Inchi Gel? What did you think about it?

Natural hair says: Continue to look for the best products for your hair, even if you are a few years into your healthy hair journey.
