The Spring: Protective Styling Challenge 2016
The goal of this challenge is to continue to grow healthy hair and to retain the length grown over a 3 month period.Pre-Set Theory
I'm reaching for the stars, but I believe I can retain an average of 1.5 inches of length grown in 3 months from SOLEY protective styling, massaging my scalp, and keeping a healthy hair regimen.
Rules
Take a picture of weekly protective styles and do the weekly challenges.
My Journey
April 3rd to June 26th (13 weeks) was the time frame.
My regimen was based on simplicity. I wanted to use healthy hair techniques to retain the length grown and to also learn more about my hair during this time. I also wanted to focus more on my bang and nape hair growth as well.
Here was my regimen I stuck with:

Upcoming Season and Hopes
I am absolutely excited about my hair growth and the length retained during this healthy hair challenge. However, I noticed that the crown of my hair did experience breakage during those months because of the excessive pulling and tugging. Also, I concentrated more on my bang and nape hairline and neglected to baby my crown area.
My upcoming season will include: massaging my scalp at least 4xs weekly, rinsing with rice water, and implementing the Indian Oiling method for softer, shinier, and stronger hair.
