Product Review: Carols Daughter Black Vanilla Moisture and Shine Sulfate-Free Shampoo

I have ALAFFIA Authentic African Black Soap-Lavender Ylang Ylang, CURLS Creamy Curl Cleanser Sulfate-Free Shampoo, Herbal Essences Wild Naturals Rejuvenating Shampoo, Shea Moisture Fruit Fusion Coconut Water Weightless Shampoo, and other shampoos over the years. I would always give them away because they either had a stripping feeling to them or I just didn't need shampoo and would use Rhassoul Clay OR Mud Wash or Apple Cider Vinegar to naturally cleanse my hair. But since it's my 4th year being a naturalista, I decided to treat myself to the entire Carols Daughter Black Vanilla line because I've had my eyes on it for some time!

First things first, let's try out this shampoo...

My Experience:

After my hot oil treatment, I rinsed my hair with warm water for a few minutes. As my hair is in 5 sections, I took a quarter size to cleanse my scalp of each section. I did not intentionally use the shampoo on my hair. I allowed the shampoo to remain on my scalp for a few minutes as I massaged to lift any product buildup. I rinsed my hair of the shampoo, allowing the suds to cleanse my hair. I continued with my washing regimen.

My Thoughts:

Smells So Good!
I absolutely love this aroma! Smells just like yummy ice cream and the aroma is very relaxing when washing your hair in the shower. I must admit I was in Target getting a whiff before purchasing.

Hair Felt Soft And Moisturized
Usually shampoos and cowashers really cleanse my hair and feels really stiff. This shampoo made my hair really soft and it felt so moisturized.

Cleansed My Scalp Gently
As I was using this shampoo, this was really easy to get the product through my hair as well. I could tell that all the product buildup, even on my hair, was completely cleanse out.
Other than the awesome attributes of this product, there were a few ingredients I had to look up or that I could not pronounce. I'm already leery of shampoos anyways, so seeing a few ingredients I try to avoid for my hair made me a bit sad. However, I want to see where this shampoo and Black Vanilla line takes me as I continue on my hair journey.

I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR A GENTLE CLEANSER
Natural hair says: it is best to know your hair before purchasing products without researching it. Make sure you learn your hair, check the product label, and read on reviews to determine if the product is worth purchasing. Never purchase on a whim.
Always Desire Your Natural,
