Product Review: Carols Daughter Black Vanilla Moisture And Shine Hydrating Conditioner

I have always used Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Conditioner as my instant conditioner (along with pre-poo, detangler, added to henna gloss, and deep conditioner)...but since it's my 4th year being a naturalista, I decided to treat myself to the entire Carols Daughter Black Vanilla line because I've had my eyes on it for some time!

Product Name:

Carols Daughter Black Vanilla Moisture And Shine Hydrating Conditioner

My Experience:

After shampooing my hair, I used this conditioner. I usually use different brands of shampoos and conditioner. While my hair is in 5 sections, I add a great amount to each section as I did "praying hands" and added lots on my ends. I allowed to sit for 5 minutes. Then I rinsed out with warm water and continued with my washing regimen.

My Thoughts:

Smells Absolutely Yummy!
Just like the shampoo, this has that same yummy ice cream scent that just make you want to eat it. This aroma is just so relaxing, especially during your personal time in the shower.

Soft And Completely Moisturized Hair
When I rinsed my hair out of the conditioner, my hair felt soooo soft and moisturized. I honestly couldn't keep my hands out of my hair during this time.

Strong And Protein-Filled
I will say that even though my hair felt very soft, it also felt strong and protein-filled. It was like I did a protein treatment and deep conditioning treatment in one (like ApHogee Curlific Texture Treatment ). It does have ingredients that are also in other protein treatments.

Great As A Detangler And Co Wash
This definitely worked as a detangling products and I did have an opportunity to co wash my hair at one time. And this was so gentle on my hair as it added much needed moisture.

Other than the awesome attributes of the product's performance, I will say that I was disappointed to see all of these ingredients that I cannot pronounce or had to do some research on them. This product has WAY TOO MANY ingredients for my liking of any kind of product and it has silicones in it. *sigh* however, I will continue to use this conditioner and the Black Vanilla line and see how my hair responds.
