How To Black Hair: Breanna Rutter

My Review:

Hair Diary With A Textbook Feel
Although this book is a long read, Rutter makes The Natural Hair Bible very personal and easy to read like a hair diary. She makes the subject of caring for natural hair very easy to understand, especially for those who are new to natural hair.

The 10 Commandments
I like how Rutter separates each chapter by a commandment for natural hair. This allows us to follow the 10 rules (non-exhaustive) on how to care for and retain healthy hair.

The Author's Story
I am all for engaging in other's hair stories and how they overcame to finalizing on natural hair. I really enjoyed reading the Author's Story to learn more about her own journey and where she is going in the future of hair in general.

Definition Guide
There are absolutely so many terms and phrases within the natural hair community, that it can be confusing when starting off as a newbie naturalista. This Definition Guide give very simple explanations on those terms and phrases to give you a "head start" in your healthy hair journey.

Additional Resources
Rutter adds other resources like her website and her store if you are interesting on other work by her. She does a very good job laying this out instead of doing your own research about her.

Sometimes we don't have the right words or phrases to look something up, but Rutter added an index of all the important wants and needs of maintaining a healthy hair care regimen and journey at the end of the book.
