I need this style in my life! I've always had a bit of a crush on the shaved sides and would like to try that one day. But for right now, I will try the side cornrows with crochet braids!
This will definitely help with achieving my hair goals for this year. I saw this style and I knew that I just had to do it! So here is my style for the week: Crochet Braids + Side Cornrows/Faux Shaved Side.
Inspiration
This style was inspired by Brilliant Beauty. I was looking for simple protective and creative style.

Regimen And Products
It is very important to prep your hair for long-term styling effectively and the correct way. I prepared my hair by doing my wash regimen and also heatless stretched my hair with the Bands N Twists For Stretched Hair.
Braiding Pattern
I did my braiding pattern first, then worked on my faux shaved/cornrow sides. I did one vertical braid on top to have the invisible braid illusion.

In the back, I braided my hair from the bottom to meet in the middle of my head. This braiding pattern worked very well for the style and it didn't take too long to do.
Crochet Process
I did cut all the hair in half, I did NOT split the hair this time. I add hair using the knotless method to create a natural part. Once the style was complete, I shaped the hair to my liking.

I love the idea of the side braids into bantu knots. I did them this way, so I can redo my side braids weekly.
