I absolutely love hair challenges!

Hair challenges keep me on track to succeeding my goals, while learn more about my hair in order to keep her healthy. I've finally reached the end of my healthy hair challenge.

Here are the results!

The Spring Moisture Challenge 2018

The goal of this challenge is to continue to grow healthy hair and to retain the length grown over a 3 month period.

Pre-Set Theory

I can retain an average of 1.5 inches of length grown in 3 months from keeping a healthy hair regimen by moisturizing at least 3x a week with protective styling 5 days out of the week.

Rules

Take a picture of weekly protective styles and do the weekly challenges.

My Journey

Mielle Organics Products
April to June (13 weeks) was the time frame.

My regimen was based on simplicity. I wanted to use healthy hair techniques like the LOC (leave-in conditioner, oil, and cream) as well as keeping up with my protective styles to retain the length grown and to also learn more about my hair during this time.

Thoughts On The Challenge

How is your growth, shedding, and health from the beginning to the end of the challenge?
My growth was absolutely great! Actually more than I would have expected and I think it has something to do with me using the fenugreek-chamomile mist. This has really turned my hair around, even with me wearing my hair out like 90% of the time. Also since my hair would be out, I would moisturize my hair more often. So my hair would thrive off of that.

Will you continue, add, delete any products or regimen practices?
I will continue with the fenugreek-chamomile mist and also using Coconut Oil. My hair has surely become thicker and stayed moisturized with these two products. I’ve also been eating healthier and drinking more water, especially fruit water. So this keeps me hydrated definitely.

Upcoming Season and Hopes

I am absolutely excited about my hair growth and the length retained during this healthy hair challenge. However, I noticed that the crown of my hair did experience breakage during those months because of the excessive pulling and tugging while styling my hair. So I would like to do more protective styles and really give my crown area some TLC.
