I definitely did this style on a whim, because i was getting tired of my hair and needed something for a few weeks. So I tried this style and I absolutely loved it!

  • Hand-made
WASHING INSTRUCTION:
  • Wash your hair clean and dry it completely before applying the braid
  • When washing, use gently running water and do not rub vigorously.

My Experience:

Since these are pre-looped, I thought I try the Jazz Nicole method instead of the crochet style I have done before. For my braiding foundation, I parted my hair in 4 sections.

Then began to braid, then twist my hair. Jazz Nicole calls this method "bristing." I moisturized with my Curls Blueberry Bliss Twist-N-Shout CreamHair and Body Butter, and Eco Styler Olive Oil Styling Gel at my root for grip.

When my braiding foundation was finished, I used my Hair And Body Oil to soothe my scalp.

When I was done with my crochet braids (after 5 hours), I thought they looked so chic and cute! I added jewels and string to my hair for a carefree style!

First Impression

I was pretty nervous on how this style was gong to turn out, but this looks really good! I have been getting lots of compliments on my hair. I will say that I'm very proud of myself for trying this style out. I’ve always wanted to see how I would look with Locs. And I pretty much dig it!

This is a pretty easy style to care for. For my nighttime routine, I put my hair in a high ponytail then tie a scarf around my hair. In the morning I shake my hair and GO!

Week 1
I really love this hair and the style! It's really easy to care for and I really don't need much. I do have to make sure I use an applicator bottle for my moisturizer and my oil my scalp. The twists do feel and look natural. These don't feel too rough on my own natural hair, since I added alot of moisturizer and cream to my natural hair.

Week 2
I’m actually starting to get really tired of this style. Not because it doesn’t look good, but I don’t know how to care for my natural hair while in these Locs, other than keeping my natural hair moisturized and well-oiled. And the ends of my hair pop out of the loc, here and there. However I absolutely love the look of Locs. I may try this again in the summer.

After two weeks, I did take my hair out and decided to keep the faux locs for future use. The take down was the easiest ever! Took only 30 minutes to do.

Natural hair says: do your research and find what hair and style would be best for you. If the hair for your protective style or crochet braids doesn't work, don't give up on the hair. Try the faux hair as another style bet suitable for that type of hair.
