Crochet Braids | Sensationel Synthetic Lulutress 2X 3B Curly

Lulutress Crochet Hair
I have been waiting on hair like this!

I've been wanting to try a style that would resemble a wash n go and that would be easy to maintain for the next few weeks. So I went to my beauty supply store and found these new packages of hair called Lulutress. This must be something new, because I have never seen this brand before. But I'm so glad I did.

And to shake things up for me, I decided to get a bold red color to match the hair wax I have been playing with for the past few weeks.

Let's have some fun!

Prepping Natural Hair

It is very important to prep your hair for long-term styling effectively and the correct way. I prepared my hair by doing my wash regimen and also heatless stretched my hair with the Bands and Twists.

Once my hair was fully dry, I braided my hair in order to have a side part. I checked out Tastepink YouTube Channel for the side part. The top braids were much smaller than the ones in the back so the part would look natural.

Crochet Braids Process

The hair comes with 12 pre-looped and pre-parted sections, with a disposable elastic bands.

First, I prepared my crochet hair by separating each pre-looped sections in 3 or 4 smaller sections. Then I placed over an empty basket for easy install.

The hair is very soft, fine, and easy to split. I split the extensions in thins strands to help with the knotting/securing process. I took my closed latch-hook and maneuver it under the cornrow, opened the latch then put the selected hair in the hook in a "bunny loop" way, then closed the latch hook.

After I feel the hair is secure in the latch-hook, I pulled my tool in reverse back under the cornrow until the "bunny loop" came through.

I opened the latch-hook and set it down. Then I took the loose strands and pulled them through the "bunny loop." For a secure installation, I looped each strand 3 times (rubber bank method) and reinforced it until secure.

Once all the Lulutress was completely in the hair, I shaped my style into a cute bob with a long side bangs with my hair shears.

This entire process took 5 hours. The hair resembles a wash n go with lots of volume.

I love new style!!!

I'm planning to keep this style for about 4 weeks. Since this is a "shake and go" style, there is no extra styling necessary.

Natural hair says: Even if you think the curl pattern won't look good on you or the curl pattern is something new, try the hair anyways! You never know something unless you try it.
